Description

Crataegus x mordenensis / Toba Hawthorn

Planting Points: The hardiest of the ornamental hawthorns, the perfect accent for small home landscapes; smothered in pink flowers in spring followed by showy red berries in fall. It develops an interesting, twisted trunk with time; thorns can be quite sharp.

Siting This Tree: It is very adaptable to both dry and moist growing conditions but will not tolerate any standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
